Exhibition - PAPER INDONESIA 2019

  Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia, a member of ASEAN and the fourth most populous country in the world.

  In recent years, the country has enjoyed political stability, friendly relations with China and great market vitality.

  China is one of the major importers of Indonesia. Indonesia's imports from China account for 10.9% of its total imports, which are on the rise year by year.

  As the world's ninth largest pulp producer and 11th largest paper producer, Indonesia's total pulp production capacity is 7.9 million tons and paper production capacity is 12.17 million tons per year.

Indonesia's paper and pulp exports are targeted at US $6.26 billion this year, up 4.4 percent from US $6 billion in the same period last year, according to Indonesia Paper and Pulp Industry Association (API) Chairman Mishapur.

  In developing countries, demand for paper is growing at an average rate of 4.1 per cent a year, compared with 0.5 per cent in developed countries, according to Bonga Bonga, director general of the manufacturing base department at Indonesia's Ministry of Industry.

  At present, the world demand for paper has reached 394 million tons and will rise to 490 million tons in 2020, among which Indonesia's demand for paper has reached 7.7 million tons.

Indonesia now produces 7.3 million tons of pulp, of which 2.83 million tons are exported, representing an export value of $1.6 billion.

Paper production totaled 10.7 million tons, of which 4.49 million tons were exported, representing an export value of $3.9 billion.

  Almost 100% of the Indonesian paper mill machinery equipment and accessories are imported, according to statistics, USDOC registered international trade committee in Indonesia with nearly 100% of pulping and papermaking equipment and parts are imported from abroad, and in the local factory assembly, no local paper machine production machine, most of the pulp and paper factories in Indonesia only repair parts production workshop was established.

  Indonesia Paper Fair 2019 is currently the only professional paper fair in Indonesia. The fair has received strong support from pulp and paper associations in Indonesia, China, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries. The participation and publicity of the associations will effectively expand the influence of the fair and attract more professional visitors.

  The growing demand and rapid development of the Indonesian paper industry has attracted a lot of investment and trade attention.
